Getting more traffic to your website/blog is a dream for many people. It is no easy task, but if you follow some simple rules, you can have many more followers and website visits.
There are many ways to increase blog traffic, and this article will show you some of the more important ones.
1. Posting Regularly
Posting a blog or article on a regular basis is the best way to increase your website traffic. Search engine robots are always crawling sites for newly created content. When you post an article, a new link to your site with appropriate keywords will be added to the search engine index so others can find you more easily. If you have the time, I would suggest posting new content at least once a week. This will keep your website loaded with fresh content and keep the traffic flowing.
2. Social Media
Social Media is another great way to increase your blog traffic. Social media is used by the masses and include sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, etc. Most successful bloggers receive 60%-80% of their traffic from social media sites.
When you post a new article to your blog, share it on as many social media sites as possible. You will automatically start gaining more traffic, and if anyone “likes” your article he/she may even share the post with their friends. Word travels fast within social media. Don’t you want your content to spread also? Adding social media buttons to your blog posts will help others share your content with their social media friends.
3. Email Subscriptions
Add email subscriptions on your website or blog. Encourage your visitors to subscribe to your posts in order to increase blog traffic. Whenever you post a new article, a mail will be sent to their inbox. When they open the email they will read the main heading of article and if they are intrigued they will visit your website. For example, if 200 people are subscribed to your post’s, you will most likely get close to that amount of clicks to your website each time you post something new. This is one of the best methods to increase blog traffic, but also a slow process. Take your time, post often, use social media and the visitors will come.
4. Proper Keyword Usage
You can increase your blog traffic by choosing proper keywords. Using Google Adwords Keyword Tool is great at helping you choose the keywords that have the most searches but less competition. Load up your body content with these keywords and also create a quality Meta Description for each post/article. The more unique words you choose, the more unique visitors and traffic you will receive.
