In today’s world, keeping up with technology is a must if you want your business to succeed. Everyone has moved to mobile devices such as iPads, iPhones, and other tablets. All the tools to get tasks completed are right at your finger tips. Believe me. When you here the joking phrase “There is an app for that”, there truly is. With the millions of apps across the App store, there is always one to help a task at hand.

I am an on-the-go business man, often with many tasks to complete during the day. Now don’t get me wrong. There are plenty of other apps I use on a daily basis, but these are the few apps that I use regularly to help expand my connections and get tasks completed:

1. top five app for small businessCalendar (stock app)
You can’t run a business without a calendar. That’s just silly! Apple’s Calendar app is such a great tool for all your alerts and events for the day. I use it to set event dates, meetings, classes, personal life, etc. Create alerts to remind me of the event and all the info. Another great part of Calendar app is the invite to calendar event. You can add someones email address and add them to the event. They will be notified by email with the event date, times, and all info you provided. Great for setting up meetings with clients and other coworkers.

LogMeIn is a very powerful app that let’s you log into your home or office computer from any location. Say you had drafted a long email to a client and it was only saved to your office PC. No problem, open LogMeIn and in seconds you will be browsing through your office computer while on the go. Use all the features like you were sitting right in front of it. Now, don’t get me wrong. This is great for getting quick tasks done here and there, but I don’t suggest trying to do complicated tasks as things can get laggy depending on your data speeds. If you are on the road and need access to your desktop, LogMeIn is one of the Top Five Business Apps I use.

While the regular Facebook app is great all around, managing your business pages within the app is very limited. Facebook Pages Manager makes it easy to manage all your Facebook Business pages from one app. Interact with your followers, send messages, upload photos, post a status, and much more. I use Pages Manager on a regular basis to view my page’s stats and upload new photos for my followers. Keeping your followers engaged is a very important aspect in social networking. Pages Manager is one of my top five apps for small business specifically for this reason.
